Darlene Short moved to Cleveland, Ohio, in the late 1990s from Northwest Ohio. Her love of photography began in those rural surroundings. She discovered the beauty of the Cleveland Metroparks and ventured into neighboring counties’ park systems as well. When not working as a freelance proofreader, hiking, or taking photos, she enjoys reading.
