Sharon Emery

Sharon Emery has always had a penchant for communicating, but speaking is a struggle because her voice includes a stutter. Sometimes, a bad one. So, writing became her voice. Sharon forged a career in journalism, public relations, and teaching, but she still stutters. Luckily, it has taught her a lot about surviving life. Today, when not traveling to see her far-flung children, she and her husband live in Michigan—on twelve acres near Lansing and on Lake Huron near Cheboygan. She is happy.
